Magazine cover Part II

1. Early Magazine Covers

-They don't really have a cover, it just starts with the title, or maybe a table of contents, they modeled it a lot after books, some had a simple illustration with just a title, and went straight into the first article. It's the simplest version of a magazine you could ever see.

2. The Poster Cover

-They were magazines with only sometimes a picture because that's all it needed to tell you what it was about. Many of the covers were over-sized, as if they were meant to be hung on a wall like a poster. It was like a way of telling you "a picture is a thousand words" or something like that.

3. Pictures Married to Type
This one was kinda tricky, but I think it's a picture that relates to the main topic of the Magazine, or the big story inside it. So it's a relationship between the picture with a story. So in a way it told the story by just the picture but it wouldn't be ab;e to do it by itself without the words or the story without making sense.

4. In the Forest of Words
I didn't understand this one, it sounded like the poster cover one, except this one was talking more about the words on the cover, and I guess it's like the way the use the words how they type and word things on the cover that make you want to read it. It has a lot to do with the sidebar of words, where most magazines do that, instead of just putting small stories or titles everywhere making it look like jumbled mess.

Akins, Building, Happy

I thought this picture worked with the "Akins" theme because, everyone knows the fishbowl, every morning, or after lunch, or through passing periods, this is where most kids are.
I really like how my "Building" picture came out, I would've liked it better in color, but either way. I thought it fit the theme because when I was in middle school, This building of the school is the one I recognized all the time.
Okay, so between this picture, and the bottom picture I couldn't decide with was happy, but I ended up picking the obvious one, which was the Smile one, I mean a smile means Happy, but the bottom was really funny, I thought something funny, laughter, is what makes you smile which is Happy.

Yearbook or Newspaper?

I want to be in Newspaper, or Yearbook.
I'm not sure which one to pick yet, but I would say Newspaper, because I mean I like our school newspaper, and it looks cool to work on it.

Break

1. Tell me what is the one thing that happened on your holiday that you will remember? It can be a trip, a family visit, a present, something fun

One thing that I can remember on my break was New Years, celebrating with the family, as we exploded fireworks and all jumped around saying "Happy New Years"

2. What are your resolutions for the 2012 year?

I didn't really make one this year, but if I would I guess it would be to get good grades, but I don't need a resolution to do that.

3. What are you looking forward to in 2012?
I'm just looking forward for more memories with the ones I love.

Best of 2011

1. What was the best song of 2011?

There was a lot of good songs this year, my personal favorite was Set Fire to the Rain by Adele, but on the Billboard Chart my favorite was You & I by Lady Gaga because I like she tried to do a country twist on it, and I don't like country but I really liked this song.
2. What was the best movie of 2011?
On that list none of those, most of those weren't that good, my personal favorite of this year was Footloose (2011).

3. Who was the most important person of 2011?
Uhm, I guess Kate Middleton, the royal wedding,

Favorite Photos of 2011

I choose this photo as one of my favorite because I thought it was awesome that they could finally get married and spend their life together like any other person should.

We all heard about the tsunami in Japan and the Nuclear stuff that spread out and it really made a huge impact on all of us.

I didn't really understand what happened here, all I know was she was pushed my one of the cops shield and her ran to kiss her? but I thought this was a cute picture.
