Newspaper Notes

Broad Sheet- the big one, big newspaper.
Tabloid- the smaller of the two.
12 broad sheet turns into 24 in tabloid.
on a broadsheet newspaper the average of stories is gonna be 3 or 4.
On a tabloid about 1 or 2.
News Value
- most important story.

The Flag is the name of the newspaper.
The teaser- something that's in the paper we want you to see.

Some newspapers have the price of the newspaper.
Written in the first paragraph, and capture your readers.
Sub- Headline-
Tells us more about the story, comes from the additional paragraphs.
1 Sub headline on every page.
By-line-
person who wrote the story and their position on staff.

Below the guideline, the story itself.
The caption has three parts.
-caption head
to tell about the photo.
like a teaser, like a headline, give info but be a little fun.
Caption itself, where? when? who? what? why? how?
sometimes you have to write more then 2 sentences.
more background info, or include a quote.

Infographics-
give you more info in graphic form.
